Traverser is an equipment to transfer material from one shop to another. It has been majorly used in the railways for handling all sorts of railway rolling stock, which travels on rails along the ground.
This product was developed by Reva for Indian Railways with immense innovation in terms of ultra low height.
Reva has designed stacker cranes for customised application wherein there is a long lifting beam of 12 M length being held at 3 different places through wire ropes. However, the ropes come from a single drum. The drum has been designed specially so that the synchronisation of the speeds is achieved through single source of operation.

For handling 260 M single length rail, Reva has designed and supplied Green Feild project involving 21 nos of fixed Gantry cranes. These 21 cranes are installed 12.5M apart. These cranes are PLC controlled and run in synchronisation.
